Nice, Spice, Baby!

It is year of the Water Snake and I have researched the advantages of having babies born in this year. As per the web:

  • Good with finances, possible business in the future will be successful
  • Has appeal and people will be easily attracted to them
  • Sociable and easy to be with
  • They hate failing
  • Smart and understanding
  • Good in MATH and Science (not mathturbation okay)
  • Possible future professions: scientist, astronaut, professor, researcher, analyst

I can come up to the conclusion that babies are exploding this year. It's like a hormonal shower. I know 6 people who gave and 2 will be giving birth this year. What made me more excited is their stories. Symptoms of pregnancy, how you take a pregnancy test, what is the process during the first trimester, what you should and should not eat. Ironically, I am hearing this from friends and not from my own mother. That cut was good anyway since it would be awkward. Kidding aside, I have been watching videos in YouTube, search for, "Baby Center". They have all the information from the first few months and until after birth. What was more interesting is that they also have information what happens inside the stomach of the mother. I also learned terms such as epidural and amniotic fluid. Also watching it will make you reflect if you are ready to have a child. Check them out!

Things I learned:
  • Take the pregnancy test thrice (if all results are still negative or fluctuating, better have yourself go to a clinic or hospital for check-up
  • Symptoms depend on the body system. Some experience dizziness and vomiting while others don't. Some crave for specific types of food or meal while others don't. There have been cases of the people that I know knew they were pregnant by their 5th month.
  • Iron and Folic Acid are the most important meds during your first trimester
  • Babies are developing their whole body figure during the second trimester (you can also feel them kicking during this semester)
  • Sound, eyes, and neurons get developed by the third trimester
  • By the 8th and 9th month, you should be walking so that the baby would already have their position ready.
  • You will also be taking lab tests (just like pre-employment tests hahaha) to assure if you are healthy enough to give birth
  • Have applications ready in your phone on what things to bring when you get to the hospital. I have a friend of mine who downloaded "Enfa Mama A+" application. There are also other available applications if you find Enfa Mama too Pinoy. Hahaha!
  • It's better if blood comes out of you first than the water from the water bag of your baby.
  • By 3cm measurement of your vageygey, you can rush to the hospital because with it, you will already be having contractions.
  • You will be going through different rooms. Examination Room, Operating Room, Delivery Room, (depends on the hospital) if you will be delivering your baby in a public hospital, ONE ROOM ONLY. Lol
  • Epidural is vageygey down so you will feel some pain in your stomach because of nurses pushing your stomach.
  • You will not be feeling the stitching of your vageygey. You will feel it hours after. (for normal deliveries)
  • Do not eat eggplant during pregnancy (it has something to do with beans)
  • Drink lots of water so both of you will not get dehydrated (especially in our weather lately)
  • Eat lots of soup (for your breastfeeding)
  • Do not eat a lot if you are weeks away from your delivery so you won't have a hard time giving birth.

This is Dra. Angelica, thank you for reading. Lol

Last Sunday afternoon with Aaron and Sofie, we visited Heidi in Makati Medical Center and how cute her Baby Isaiah Gabriel; 19 inches looks like 3 months old! He was born on 5:32pm on the 27th of September. Well, we were expecting him to come out on the 2nd of October yet I guess he couldn't wait any longer. Heidi was 2 weeks ahead of her due date. She gave birth in 12 minutes with such weight and height of her baby! Crazy! Couldn't believe how awesome for a first time mom! :)

Visited Baby Ethan yesterday with my mom and younger brother :) he was born during the wee hours on the 28th of September. Imagine, Ethan is 8.4lbs! Whew. Ate Myra was one week delayed of her due date.

What is with these newborns that they don't look like newborns?

Some set for this rainy season. Almost 3 weeks now of this continuous rain. Please pray for everyone's safety.

And yes we all know that our News Feeds will be flooded (gotta use that term to suit the status of our weather here in Manila) with photos and reactions.

Here are some:

Let Us Pray

Psalm 91

New International Version (NIV)

Psalm 91

Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High
will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.[a]
I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress,
my God, in whom I trust.”

Surely he will save you
    from the fowler’s snare
    and from the deadly pestilence.
He will cover you with his feathers,
    and under his wings you will find refuge;
his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.
You will not fear the terror of night,
nor the arrow that flies by day,
nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness,
nor the plague that destroys at midday.
A thousand may fall at your side,
ten thousand at your right hand,
but it will not come near you.
You will only observe with your eyes
and see the punishment of the wicked.

If you say, “The Lord is my refuge,”
and you make the Most High your dwelling,
10
no harm will overtake you,
no disaster will come near your tent.
11
For he will command his angels concerning you
    to guard you in all your ways;
12
they will lift you up in their hands,
so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.
13
You will tread on the lion and the cobra;
you will trample the great lion and the serpent.
14
“Because he[b] loves me,” says the Lord, “I will rescue him;
I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.
15
He will call on me, and I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble,
I will deliver him and honor him.
16
With long life I will satisfy him
    and show him my salvation.

Keep safe everyone! =)

Je Rule

All of my closest friends know that don't like to shop, I don't go to clubs, and I barely eat at hotels for buffet. Those Fiamma, 7th High and Rebupliq annoys me. What I'd rather do is hang out at a friend's house and drink (and dance), watch a movie, eat ice cream, read a book, or go to bar and restos like 19 East. I'm not the A-type even though I came from an A-school. I don't just get the fuss out of it. I always want to be practical in life unless there's an invitation but I always wanna relax. Moreover, I'm really lazy.
Here's an example: If I have to go clubbing, I'd buy a dress put make-up... Gah. It's too expensive! Hahaha well anyway. How about I'd tell you what I do (a little bit of shopping and eating) I'll arrange this from least to best.

One of my favorite shops since high school. I shop here for undies! Hihi. That's it! But when I shop here, it's one time big time. Topshop's undies are so comfortable. I also buy tank tops too! If quality is what you're looking for, this is one of the shops you'd stop for. It's really affordable. Prices are very reasonable. (Unlike Zara, for me their just the same. Zara's overrated) Or let's just say, I'm loyal. Haha

Duh, there's no VS here in Manila. What my sister and I do is that we buy from abroad (we don't go there just to buy) but my sister's friend's aunt goes back and forth. Bikinis and undies, are so perfect. One-of-a-kind designs. It could fit whatever body structure you have. Stoked, well you can find it Glorietta, Trinoma, GH, MOA etc. If it's board shorts and slippers that I want, this store is a no-brainer for me. Unlike yes, you'd want to buy Billabong, Roxy or Ripcurl in Rustan's but Stoked is more of an outlet so it's cheaper!

Yes, this is the most important store for me. Since I'm more fond of vintage styles whether shoes, bags or shirts, I'd rush here. Cheap and fun. (ooh and the photo I got has sale on it. Whuuut)

Best ever Chinese restaurant! Yang Chow and noodles are served for at least 2 persons and you just get a total of P850 or less! I'm hungry. :(

Nothing to counter that since I couldn't think of any Chinese resto cheaper than this.

Bjie and I love to eat here. You'll love their fish fillet and the amazing dip! Their pasta and pizza are delicious enough but a price for the buffet of P290 is more delicious.

No buffet to counter that. If you want to talk about Vikings and Yakimix, well they're more expensive.

Too tired of Starbucks since it has been all around town? Well, thanks to Taft of having a franchise of this at UM. This is where we usually hang out during college (and some of my friends until now) while waiting for the next class. Memories enclosed but it may cost heavier than Starbucks but if you want a different taste of frappe, especially White Chocolate Dream oh lala...

Maxwell coffee! (Oops, to counter that) My mom makes the best Maxwell coffee and cream ever though... No need for the photo of the brand, it will just take the whole space for the best next one to anyone who has ever lived or tried BF...

Has anyone tried the Shawarma in Cuenca? Well, it's also one of the best Shawarma's I've tasted (but please let's not debate about the Christmas Cuenca Bazaar, please don't. That one is unforgivable! Woot!) Ruins has always been the "Kung may kailangan ka kahit pagkain, t-shirt or tsinelas na cheapangga" just don't buy bags, branded but ja-feyks! And whenever I'm in Ruins, this Shawarma is all lined-up.

NUFF SAID.

Nah, I'm just kidding. Actually ever since high school also we'd love to hang out here. Different friends from BF, even my sister's friends. Unlike Central (too crowdy, overrated) it's more relaxed here. The people and the place, perfecto!

One heavenly place to counter that is my home.

Last but not the least...

TA-DA! Heaven is a place on earth... Books, keychains, notebooks = all the pretty ones! You could also find here 'for the gifts' where they have personalized figurines, pens etc. Well, I would counter this with Papelmeroti but you won't find rings or necklaces (or even great books) there. Reasonable prices! You could even survey laptop stickers here! Goodbye Powerbooks and of course, National Bookstore. If it's buying set of books like Fifty Shades of Game of Thrones, the sets here are always sold out.

The Unje Rule

1. If you want to look cool with what you wear, you could buy in expensive stores as long as the quality is at its finest and it's unique.
2. If you want to look cool (the desperate amount that you would check in in Foursquare of Facebook) with what you eat, as long as it's the last restaurant on earth (like pretending it's your last pigging day) be sure that it's not pricey and the meal isn't served like a spaghetti in Greenwich that you could eat it with two pigging table spoons.
3. If you want to have coffee, go to Coffee Bean.
4. If you want to buy books, keychains or all of it in one, just be sure that you could budget it well. Rather, don't buy and just go to Republiq. At least you have saved some to parteeeh!
5. It's better if you go to bazaars and stop social climbing.

Recapcom

5 months, yes 5 months!

If you would just observe my last post... I'll admit of course I've really been busy with...

Yes! I've graduated already! (this is totally a recap haha) thank you De La Salle - College of Saint Benilde! Moreover, thank you to my professors, blockmates, classmates, schoolmates and college friends! And speaking of friends, here's what I've been busy doing with them... :)

My bestest friend. My special friend. And any other kinds of connotations for a friend, the love of my life Bjie :"> Yes, we just turned 10 months yesterday! Time does fly by so fast. It was just a year ago that I was hoping to have a chance with him and a year after, I'm still taking my chances to be his ever after. The most special feeling is that nothing ever changed within 10 months. Everything is still the same. The way we talk, text and make each other swoon... Gaah, I'm so lucky. Best and only real relationship I've ever had. I love him so much.

College friends? Priceless. We had a post-graduation dinner at Bubba Gump in Greenbelt 5.

What I do? I train. Yes, I take the train. Hahaha. Well yeah I take the train going to our sales office in Gilmore but sorry, there. I train real estate consultants. It's really fun. I remember the option of taking Recruitment or Training? I won't think twice now. It's a no-brainer. I'm really enjoying my job! Woot woot!
And my colleagues and bosses are so easy to be with! I really feel comfortable. In addition, the department that I belong to is the best ever. Even the bosses are cool!

Planning at the Disco

Greetings to the title since I'm really listening to I Write Sins not Tragedies, suits my entry for today! Well, yes I am very much excited to start working next week! After all that I've gone through, I really felt God's grace and plan for me. He really knows what's best for me, and since I know that I'm impatient, he taught me not to be with this challenge. So, to all of my friends who has been of support, family and boyfriend, thank you! :D

Okay, so I would assume that most of my closest friends know that I'm not the "planning type." I never had a planner, if ever my mom bought me one, I wouldn't use it. I also don't wear a watch. I'm really a thrill-seeker and I'm more of the bahala na type. I really don't worry about anything. Nevertheless, having this opportunity, after a long wait of having a job (I couldn't even imagine myself working, I feel like I'm still 17 haha) maybe it's time to have a little bit of change and sense of thought with things that I plan on buying for my first paycheck... and the second then the third... and the rest will be history (MEGANON FOX - credits to Jenny for that expression)

1. Duet Mic

A Magic Sing for my mom! She really wanted this ever since, and of course after her hard work of giving me an education, it's time to give back!

2. (SECRET)

3.
I will treat my AVFI family for one day in our ever beloved resort in Laguna. Maybe not the accommodation since we're always here, but for the piggin!

4.
Minimates for my baby! Hihi. He loves collecting toys especially these ones now. Well one of his favorites is Magneto, so yeah! Hee. :">

5. Treat my friends wherever they want. I choose the date and time! Haha (high school & college; separately of course)

6.
Treat my relatives for swimming!
(there's something about swimming huh)

7.
Buy my sister an insane back casing for her iPhone!

8. Treat my family. Bahala na HAHAHA

9. Gifts for my inaanaks!

10. Pentax Optio I10 12.1 MP Digital Camera with 5x Wide Angle Optical Image Stabilized Zoom and 2.7-Inch LCD
Pentax Optio I10 12.1 MP Digital Camera with 5x Wide Angle Optical Image Stabilized zoom and 2.7-Inch LCD (Pearl White)
I want a white camera, and so that I could be encouraged to blog more. My old one sucks.

Kodak EasyShare Sport C135Waterproof Digital Camera
EasyShare Sport C135 14 MP Waterproof Digital Camera with 2.4-Inch LCD (White)
A waterproof camera also since I love swimming.

If you have cool suggestions regarding a white camera that is waterproof, comment here or message me anywhere (Twitter, Facebook, email) Thank you! :)

P.S. Of course all of these won't be present during my first paycheck! Hehe. I'll save of course!
